Job Duration: 3+ months (High Possibility of Extension)
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour on W2
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30)
Schedule is 5x8 with one weekend day
Job Description:
Required Qualifications:
Two years of previous experience in hospital case management
High School diploma/GED or higher education
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with insurance verification, reading EOBs, and insurance denials
Experience with Blue Cross billing
Core Duties:
Reviews patient list in order to appropriately refer patients to the correct agencies for services.
Ensures payer communication with reference numbers and authorizations for benefit coverage for any outside services included MCARE.
Delivers daily the Q10 2nd letter to MCARE patients 48 hours prior to DC for compliance with CMS.
Attends daily rounds whenever possible for information regarding DC plan for each patient.
Composes list of resources for Case Managers and Social Workers as needed.
Enters documentation integrity information in to the computer and keeps logs.
Coordinates department statistics and forwards information to budget department and director.
Oversees insurance authorization, reviews, and denials.
Works the revenue cycle area regarding Blue Cross billing process.
Covers department secretary responsibilities on an as needed basis
