Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, maintain and oversee compliance and continuous improvement efforts for related programs, policies and processes.
- Record, track and manage departmental spending.
- Oversee and ensure accurate record keeping related to environmental programs, safety programs and training.
- Generate, distribute and communicate regulatory and managerial reports.
- Develop and deliver all required EHS training programs at all levels of operation.
- Ensure appropriate inventory levels for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are maintained.
- Conduct internal EHS audits and issue corrective/preventive actions for non-conformance.
- Maintain the EHS Management Systems requirements including EHS records, documentation, and procedures.
- Administer Workers Compensation program, including case management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Environmental, Health and/or Safety disciplines or equivalent years’ experience in the EHS or similar field.
- Seven years of EHS experience in an industrial environment.
- CSP, ASP, GSP certification highly preferred.
- Three years of experience at a department manager level, including leading team members and managing expenses/vendors.
- Superior communication skills to effectively establish positive relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement process such as TPS and/or Lean Six Sigma.
- Ability to thrive in a multiple culture / multi-lingual environment.
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proven ability to write policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated success in developing and effectively presenting training material.
