You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:1. Technical factors: Automatic exposure control is used appropriately. Technical factors (kvp, ma, time and distance) are accurately utilized. Appropriate cassette is used (regular, grid, etc.), collimation and tomographic factors are employed and assistance is given to the attending physician during exams.2. Positioning techniques: Appropriate body parts are imaged and identified, views are acquired, and immobilization is employed. Practices good sterile techniques.3. Patient handling: Transports, transfers, and positions patients in a manner that is safe for the patient. Confirms that patient and exam preparations are appropriate. Evaluates patient s mental and physical condition in order to avoid hazardous situations and does not leave alone, if their safety is questioned. 4. Monitors patient needs.5. Performs necessary paperwork and archiving.6. Administers contrast media when appropriate.7. Handles confidential information according to HIPAA regulations.8. Acts as mentor to students from affiliated Radiology Technology Programs. 9. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.10. Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. This includes, but is not limited to: security and safety, understanding of MSDS, equipment, infection control, fire, disaster, safe lifting and body mechanics. 11. Ensures self-compliance with organization policies and procedures, as well as labor agreements.12. Ensures the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a courteous and efficient manner conducive with the organization s values.13. Conducts self in a professional manner and ensures personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job function while representing the organization. 14. Ensures that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, be handled in a manner necessary to meet organizational standards.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:1. Washington State Radiologic Technologist Certification.2. Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT(R) required. 3. Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (HCP) level to be completed within three (3) months of hire. COMPETENCIES:1. Demonstrates competency on equipment listed on department specific checklist.2. Demonstrates competency in ability to care for customers/patients across the age continuum. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Occasional heavy lifting (lift/carry up to 50 lbs.).2. Frequent/prolonged standing/walking.3. Lifts, positions, pushes, and/or transfers patients.4. Pushes, pulls, or moves heavy equipment.5. Manual dexterity and mobility. 6. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, crouching.
Shift: Monday - Thursday (4x10) (7:45AM-5:00PM) Occasional on call required - approximately 1 day every 2 weeks
