Job Description

Location: Chatuchak Bangkok

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and oversee Compliance and Data Privacy programmes and activities to ensure adherence to relevant laws policies and procedures and provide pertinent advice.
  • Ensure the organisations compliance with all applicable laws including Thai and US compliance laws and regulations.
  • Develop promote implement and continuously update the corporate compliance programme in accordance with all relevant legal requirements.
  • Create implement monitor review and update policies procedures manuals guidelines and tools related to Compliance and Data Privacy.
  • Assess risks and formulate risk management guidelines in compliance with relevant laws and regulations including due diligence of third parties and preapprovals of sensitive transactions.
  • Provide summary reports on compliance with the Anti Policy and Business Conduct Policy and manage and address Compliance and Data Privacy issues.
  • Stay informed on operational initiatives compliance/regulatory concerns and other industry changes to keep abreast of laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Act as the responsible Data Privacy Officer with the following responsibilities:
    • Fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the Data Protection Officer as defined by the PDPA ensuring and maintaining compliance with data privacy laws including conducting data privacy assessments identifying vulnerabilities and risks and suggesting actionable remedies.
    • Maintain the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA) and provide guidance and advice on data privacy and personal data protection reviewing relevant contract conditions and auditing operations related to personal data.
    • Serve as the primary contact with stakeholders and regulatory authorities on data privacy; handle enquiries from data subjects on data privacy issues and provide consultation on personal data incidents.
    • Prepare PDPA and data privacy update reports keeping up to date with developments in data protection laws and regulations.
    • Conduct audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to data privacy laws and internal policies providing training and awareness programmes on data privacy.
  • Promote a culture of compliance; develop and roll out Compliance and Data Privacy awareness campaigns and training such as designing elearning materials and conducting training sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in Law Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 7 years of postqualification experience in the compliance field with with specific experience in data privacy.
  • Strong knowledge of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with relevant teams both in Thailand and overseas.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both Thai and English.
  • Strong commitment to delivering results; wellorganised detailoriented and capable of multitasking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work independently and as part of a team with good presentation and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office programmes with demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to work/travel to the Rayong office on occasion is preferable.
