Our firm offers a tremendous opportunity for a CPA with 10 years of experience seeking a partnership role within our dynamic New York City office. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual looking to transition a high volume of writeup/tax clients from a partner planning to retire in a few years.
Key Objectives:
Assume responsibility for planning supervising and completing engagements.
Plan the timing and assignment of staff to engagements.
Supervise and lead Managers Supervisors and Staff Accountants providing feedback and evaluating their progress.
Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients and find efficiencies within the workplace.
Apply knowledge of current issues in tax regulatory requirements and industryspecific concerns to clients and identify potential impacts and recommend strategies.
Review engagement work papers resolve any problems and keep the partner informed of all important developments.
Provide onthejob training to team members.
Assist in administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Active New York CPA license.
10 years of recent continuous CPA firm experience.
Proficiency in the preparation of various tax returns including Individual Fiduciary Corporate Partnership Sales Tax and Multistate.
Strong experience using tax preparation software and Microsoft Office.
Experience with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS and/or CCH ProSystem FX Microsoft Office and Intuit QuickBooks.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with business owners and personnel.
Positive cando attitude with a firmfirst mindset and a team player approach.
Proactive selfmotivated wellorganized and able to manage work effectively while managing client relationships.
Superior attention to detail.
Fulltime work in the NYC office plus travel to client offices.
Responsibilities:

Stay updated on current tax laws and industryspecific regulations and apply this knowledge to client engagements.
Review work papers and resolve any issues keeping the partner informed.
Provide training and guidance to team members.
Handle administrative tasks as assigned by the partners.
