Planning and Process Engineer
Responsibility:
Must ensure that all customer purchase order requirements are clearly and concisely outlined in Work Orders and/or any subtier work instructions such as drawings Job Travelers manufacturing plans inspection plans and others.
Must ensure that all Job travelers and work instructions clearly identify and outline steps and details including their sequence which must be followed in order to meet the requirements of the purchase order. Must also ensure that any changes to these work instructions are duly signed off by the Process Engineering Supervisor.
Must ensure that work instructions are clear concise and minimize the chances of human error.
Must ensure all work instructions and methods of manufacture do not threaten the health and safety of any employees and/or visitors to the plant.
Must ensure that methods of manufacture and sequence of operations are chosen to maximize efficiency and productivity with the given resources of the company.
Must ensure that new technologies and methods of manufacturing testing quality control and maintenance are explored and considered or recommended to the Process Engineering Supervisor and the General Manager for consideration.
Must ensure that the plant has a Plant Layout which attempts to maximize production efficiency and optimize material flow. Must ensure this layout is periodically reviewed with the Process Engineering Supervisor General Manager and/or President for adequacy and provides for future expansion needs.
Must assist the Process Engineering Supervisor to design and commission the production of jigs fixtures work holding devices and other items which facilitate the manufacture of products.
Must assist the Process Engineering Supervisor provide engineering support and aid for the entire manufacturing plant. This includes selection of machinery and equipment including modifications cutting tools work holding devices programming inspection and testing methods assembly outlays maintenance activities and other engineering related activities on the machine shop floor.
Must ensure any discrepancies in purchase order requirements and or problems in manufacturing are communicated to the customer and actions or dispositions resulting are duly communicated and executed within the Company.
Must assists the Process Engineering Supervisor to prepare detailed feasibility studies cost breakdowns and analysis for the manufacture of parts assemblies and providing services as directed by the General Manager and/or President.
Must ensure these breakdowns are clear accurate and complete. Inaccuracies and incomplete breakdowns can: 1) jeopardize the Company s ability to be awarded contracts and/or 2) jeopardize the Company s ability to complete them as required.
Must generate Manufacturing Plans in accordance with company procedures and requirements to satisfy the customer
Must create work orders and generate Shop Travelers in the ERP.
Must ensure all engineering information in the company is stored in an organized manner and controls are exercised and maintained as needed.
Must ensure work and duties are performed in accordance with requirements outlined in the QMS Manual and all subtier Work Instructions.
Qualification:
1.1 Must have a minimum of a bachelor s degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing/aerospace engineering or equivalent.
1.2 Must have fluent skills in reading writing and speaking the English language.
1.3 Must have a minimum of 3year experience working as a process planner or engineer in a machine shop environment.
1.4 Must have working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
1.5 Must have working experience in SolidWorks
