IT Security Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Security Specialist to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats. This role involves protecting the organizations IT infrastructure ensuring compliance with security standards and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies protocols and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments.
• Manage and maintain security systems including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and antivirus software.
• Investigate and respond to security breaches and incidents.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g. GDPR HIPAA PCIDSS).
• Provide security training and awareness programs for employees.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure secure system configurations.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends threats and technology solutions.
• Prepare and present security reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP CISM CEH) preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security.
• Strong knowledge of security protocols cryptography and security frameworks.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies (SIEM firewalls IDS/IPS).
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
