The Opportunity:

As the Financial Controller you will work closely with the Managing Director and the CFO overseeing grouplevel accounting activities for the business. You will play a critical role in redefining financial processes managing reporting and ensuring that financial operations run smoothly. This is a fully remote role but applicants must reside within the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Complete the monthend process reconciliations variance analysis and produce consolidated management accounts for the group.
  
• Accounting Oversight: Manage all financial reporting tax and audit requirements including quarterly and annual accounts transactions (accounts payable to receivable) and operational finance.
  
• Process Development: Develop and implement financial policies procedures and internal controls across the group ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  
• Accounts Receivable/Payable: Oversee the full cycle of accounts receivable and payable from invoicing to receipt.
  
• Payroll & HMRC Compliance: Manage the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing and take responsibility for HMRC submissions including RTI PAYE quarterly tax instalments and VAT returns.
  
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the CFO on finance improvement projects and assist with adhoc requirements including identifying costsaving initiatives.
  

Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
  
• Degreelevel education ideally in Maths Economics or a related field.
  
• Proven ability to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  
• Strong understanding of operational requirements and the ability to translate them into financial metrics targets and budgets.
  
• Experience managing financial relationships and being involved in commercial negotiations.
  
• Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling/budgeting experience are highly desirable.
  
• A proactive approach to costsaving and rationalisation initiatives.
