Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Pracitioner to provide services at a facility in Woodbury New Jersey. The Psychiatric Nurse Pracitioner will offer comprehensive psychiatric care to elderly and infirmed patients at a long term care facility.

Requirements:
Active NJ license

Experience in long term care facilities preferred

Responsibilities:
Provide routine and consultative psychiatric services to residents ensuring compliance with local state and federal regulations.
Notify the Facility Administrator or Director of Nursing of any changes in services affecting residents.
Evaluate all new admissions with psychiatric diagnoses or on psychiatric medications.
Conduct evaluations for residents diagnosed with psychiatric conditions Alzheimers or dementia.
Provide grief counseling for residents and staff on an asneeded basis.
Work towards achieving the lowest effective medication dosage.
Other duties as assigned by management
