Key Account Manager Public Sector

As Key Account Manager (KAM) you have the responsibility for managing public sector relationships with the objective of maximizing business opportunities and revenue growth. This includes identifying planning and executing activities that will generate upsales cross sales and new product adoption. You will report to the Sales Manager.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage existing key customers and develop and nurture relationships anticipate and understand their needs challenges and objectives
  • Create new business in the municipal and public sector account plans with objectives strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets
  • Identify opportunities for upselling crossselling and new product adoption.
  • Negotiate terms contracts and agreements ensuring they align with both the clients needs and the companys objectives.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for issue resolution working closely with relevant teams to address client concerns promptly.
  • Prepare regular reports on key account performance revenue forecasts and other relevant metrics
  • Stay up to date with industry trends adopt new technologies and foster a culture of innovation within the team to stay competitive
  • Collaborate closely with other functions to ensure alignment and synergy between sales and the overall business strategy


    Ideal Candidate

    In order to succeed in the role we believe that you have:

    • At least 5 years of experience in sales within the public sector
    • Experience of working with tenders (upphandlingar)in the municipal or public sector with a strong network
    • Proven experience from managing the whole sales cycle with a strong sales toolkit: you can identify segment prospect qualify negotiate and close deals
    • Good knowledge with the public procurement laws such as (offentlig upphandling innovationsupphandling & frstudie)
    • Excellent people skills enjoying building and managing relationships with current and potential customers
    • Excellent sales presentation negotiation and communication skills
    • Great time management and organizational skills
    • Fluent speaking and writing skills in both Swedish and English
