Job Title: Server/Operations Support Specialist

Location: Oyster Bay NY (Onsite)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Support and maintain a multilocation Windows Active Directory environment including Microsoft 2008R2/2012/2012R2/2016/2019 Server Enterprise environments.
• Manage and administer Active Directory Services SMS ISA File & Print Services Exchange (2010/2016/2019) MOM SharePoint IIS Group Policies DFS Software Distribution and SQL Server (2008/2014/2016/2017/2019).
• Oversee the virtualization infrastructure including VMware ESXi 7.0 and HyperV 2008 R2.
• Manage Dell Compellent and PowerStore SANs for storage solutions.
• Administer backup and recovery systems using Veritas Backup Exec.
• Monitor and maintain system health using tools like CiscoWorks Whats Up Gold and Microsoft System Operations Center (SCOM) 2016.
• Configure and maintain MS Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 2012 Data Protection Manager Quest Active Administrator and Security Explorer.
• Manage hardware such as Dell Open Manage Essentials (OME) Cisco routers and switches Cisco firewall and VPN equipment Dell rackmounted servers and LTO tape drives.
• Assist in troubleshooting and performance tuning of enterprise network infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Vendor certifications in relevant technologies are required.
• Proficiency in supporting and managing Windows Active Directory environments across multiple locations.
• Extensive experience with VMware HyperV and SAN solutions.
• Knowledge of networking protocols Cisco equipment and enterprisegrade hardware.
• Strong familiarity with server and storage infrastructure including backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues monitor system performance and ensure the smooth operation of the IT environment.
• Strong documentation skills for maintaining records of systems configurations incidents and resolutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administration or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Experience in managing IT environments in a public sector or municipal context.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
